Youth Alpha is about having a chance to find out who Jesus really is and how Christianity and real life fit together.

You get to ask the tough questions and chat through the issues you’ve always thought about, in a place where your views are respected.

The whole thing runs over 9 weeks and also includes a day away. Each session looks at different issues to do with Christianity such as who Jesus is, what faith is all about, why people pray, and how God speaks to people today. We'll be meeting at the 'The Rock' - a café on Newnham Street. On the 27th we'll be meeting 7.30-9.00pm all the rest will be 7.30-9.30pm. Hope to see you there!

When I started Youth Alpha, I was unsure of what I believed in; whether there was a God, and, if there was one, what to believe about Him and what God was true. So I went along with my friends, expecting to stay with them hide back a bit, but everybody was so welcoming and friendly that I mingled with people I had never met before. I felt right at home.

During the course I became more and more sure that Jesus was God, but still not 100% certain. I was encouraged to put any view I wanted across and people respected that.  Everyone was so open. Then, on the Youth Alpha Day Away at Bolnhurst, I asked Jesus into my life! I could really feel God in me. It was like no other happiness I had felt before; it was the best day of my life!

I was now sure that Jesus was God and that He had died for my sin so that I could be forgiven and have a relationship with Him. I continued on in the Alpha Course that provided more interesting discussion. I made many new friends and I also became friends with Jesus!

I have now joined a church and it has been a life-changing experience.
